Any pro editor worth his weight can tell you that the FXfactory Pro plug-in is NOTORIOUS for slowing down your FCPX workflow, stalling it, and bringing about the dreaded spinning beach ball. It’s a shame since they do have some cool effects, but what’s the point of having them installed when every time you attach it to a clip in your FCPX timeline, everything freezes? The people over at NI have been in denial over this fact for years. On the other hand, no such freezing, stalling, or hanging problems with plugins from motionVFX, Coremelt, FCPeffects, or Red Giant. Case closed.

    That all the trials and optional addins are installed by default is what stops me from installing it.
    Install FxFactory and you get 60 plugins installed on next startup – and then there’s no “uncheck all”. You have to go through every one and uninstall if you don’t want it. Quite ridiculous.

    I’ve provided feedback on this, pleading that they at least have a “uninstall all” but they won’t budge saying “The majority of users are happy trying a product at least once…”
