Reshade Rtgi 0.36.1 | 480p |
Best for taking screenshots. It heavily impacts FPS. 2. Ray Length Determines how far a light ray can travel before stopping.
: Version 0.36.1 drastically minimizes the "ghosting" or trailing artifacts common in moving scenes by refining frame-to-frame data blending.
Beyond Global Illumination, RTGI 0.36.1 brings a major overhaul to how screen-space reflections are calculated. Reshade Rtgi 0.36.1
RTGI reads the game’s —the data that tells your computer how far away objects are from the camera. It then casts virtual light rays across the pixels visible on your screen. This simulates:
: Objects look like they are floating, or light leaks through solid mountains. Best for taking screenshots
Adding full‑screen ray tracing inevitably costs performance. In Hogwarts Legacy , one user tested RTGI 0.36.1 and reported that GPU usage increased to 100%, yet frame rates remained stable and turning the camera no longer produced stutter. In that test, the user replaced the game's native ray tracing with RTGI and observed including GTX 1080 and RX 5700.
This is a limitation of screen-space ray tracing. When an object leaves your field of view, the computer stops rendering it, so its light bounce disappears. Minimize this by increasing the Ray Length or slightly increasing the Denoising Blending factor. Ray Length Determines how far a light ray
is not the most accurate, nor the fastest, nor the prettiest ray tracing solution available today. Yet, it is arguably the most important. It proved that global illumination did not need dedicated RT cores. It gave new life to the GTX 1080 Ti, once a flagship now considered obsolete by Nvidia’s marketing.
